The562.org is a community funded nonprofit media outlet that covers sports and education in the city of Long Beach with free articles, video highlights, photo galleries and more. Founders JJ Fiddler and Mike Guardabascio also visit local high school and colleges to discuss media and work with aspiring journalists.
JJ Fiddler is an award-winning sportswriter and videographer who has been covering Southern California sports for multiple newspapers and websites since 2004. After attending Long Beach State and creating the first full sports page at the Union Weekly newspaper, he has been exclusively covering Long Beach prep sports since 2007.
Mike Guardabascio has been writing professionally for 15 years and covering Long Beach sports for a decade. His work has been published in dozens of Southern California magazines and newspapers. He’s won numerous awards and is the author of the historical book Football in Long Beach and co-author of Basketball in Long Beach.

Tirisa Sokpania Noun is a Long Beach native and a first-generation Cambodian-American. As a student at Poly, she is an athlete and the creatives manager for the Long Beach Poly Football team. She is currently a senior at Long Beach Poly and she wishes that she can continue to pursue photography.
